2. Tickets for Magnolia Art Center's "Frozen Jr." are on Sale

3. Voting begins in Arkansas with Recreational Marijuana on the Ballot

Although the request to legalize recreational marijuana was blocked in August, a large number of signatures from registered voters were gathered. The Supreme Court decided to let the public vote on legalizing marijuana. Over $4 million has been raised by Growth Arkansas in support of the legalization, while over $2 million has been raised by Safe and Secure Communities in opposition. AP News 



4. Game 4 in World Series is a No Hitter Thanks to the Astros

The Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Houston Astros with a score of 5-0. Pitcher Cristian Javier and three relief pitchers pitched a combined no-hitter, making history as the second no-hitter to ever occur in the World Series. Javier pitched six innings this game, and it is the second time in the season that Javier has started a combined no-hitter. CBS Sports


5. Heidi Klum takes Halloween to the Next Level

Some people like to dress as characters from a television show or show off their personality with a funny costume. Supermodel Heidi Klum decided that she wanted to dress as something a little more unique--a worm. Her massive costume definitely impressed and disgusted viewers at the same time. With the use of prosthetics and the color/shape of the garments, she captured what a worm may look like if the worm was much larger. 6. Manatees' Future at Risk

With the lack of seagrass and hurricanes, manatees struggle to survive. Manatees are starving to death because contaminated water continues to kill the seagrass, which is partially human doing. As stated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, only 147 of the 982 manatee deaths were from natural causes. 7.  Visitors Forced to Have a Negative Covid Test to Leave Shanghai Disney

China's lockdown policy has caused some controversy and caused lockdowns in places such as Shanghai Disney. People have been avoiding shops in fear of being trapped inside. Shanghai Disney will allow people to leave once they have proof of three negative Covid tests in three consecutive days. On the bright side, rollercoasters will still operate inside the park. BBC



8.  Baker Uses Free Time to Make Life-sized Han Solo from Bread

A baker in California created a six-foot bread Han Solo from the scene in which he was frozen in carbonite. It took weeks for the bakery team to complete the project that included two types of dough. The sculpture will eventually be composted, but the bakers are just happy that is brings them and others joy. AP News



9. 2018 Parkland School Shooter Sentenced to Life in Prison

Nikolas Crus was sentenced to life in prison without parole after killing 14 students and three faculty members back in 2018. A 9-3 vote was given in favor of the death penalty, but the vote must be unanimous for this sentence according to Florida law. The families of the victims were moved by this conclusion, some being upset that Cruz is not on death row. NBC News



10. Indian Bridge Disaster Devastates Friends and Family

Morbi's jam-packed suspension bridge in India collapsed as the cables broke, killing 134 people. At the collapse, people were sent into the Machchu river, some knocked unconscious while some able to swim to shore. The bridge failed four days after it opened from repairs. Nine people were arrested, including the bridge operator's managers. NBC News

Coronal holes, where fast solar wind flushes out into space, caused a picture of the sun to go viral. The sun looks like it has an adorable smiling face. However, the coronal hole calls for a minor geometric storm watch. Minor storms can impact satellite operations and animals that migrate. CBS News



12. Parents Arrested for Manslaughter in Rogers, Arkansas

24-year-old Vincent Heyns and 21-year-old Emily Heyns were arrested for manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a minor. The couple stayed up trick-or-treating, watching movies, and smoking marijuana until going to sleep at about 8 or 9 a.m. Their two-month-old supposedly fell asleep on the father's chest and was nonresponsive when the baby's grandfather woke the parents at 2 p.m. The child was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS arrived. KNWA



13. Rapper Takeoff killed in Houston, Texas

Takeoff, who was part of the rap group Migos, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas, and the call to 911 was made at 2:34 a.m. An argument began after the party Takeoff was attending, and this led to the shooting. 14. Coaches of Kansas Basketball Team Suspended for First Games

Bill Self, coach of the Kansas men's basketball team, and assistant coach Kurtis Townsend will serve a self-imposed suspension for four games in the beginning of the season. Norm Roberts will coach during the suspension. The suspension stemmed from the continuous case of accusations that players were recruited by improper benefits and corruption in the sport. The athletic director states how these sanctions will hopefully assist in bringing the case to a conclusion. SI



15. Elon Musk Creates Unusual Perfume

Elon Musk recently invested into the perfume industry, selling 10,000 bottles for $100 each. This made him $1 million, which later grew to $2 million with 20,000 bottles sold. His fragrance is called "Burnt Hair." He claims it smells just like the name suggests. USA Today
